Torrevieja

Nestling in a quiet corner of South-East Spain, on the beautiful Costa Blanca, Torrevieja, literally 'the old tower' is a largely undiscovered treasure of perfect beaches, perfect climate and a welcome as warm as its 340 annual days of sun.

Within half an hour of two airports and 20 km from the A7 motorway,  Torrevieja is within easy reach today but the coastal watchtowers and old port attest to its history of seafaring commerce harried by Barbary pirates.

Its coastal aspect and Europe's two largest natural saltwater lagoons surrounding the town give Torevieja an extraordinary micro-climate with an average daily temperature of 20
°C.

Strict building regulations have ensured that Torrevieja has lost none of its ancient charm despite its recent expansion. Aware of the dangers of unplanned growth experienced by more tourist-driven parts of Spain, planned re-investment has retained the old and allowed  the new to compliment it.

With its fabulous promenades, Blue Flag beaches and 'natural swimming pools' right in the centre of town, a number of marinas and four superb 18-hole golf-courses, it is little surprise Torrevieja property is proving so popular.
